On The Path

Al Jamii, a name of Allah SW I have been reflecting on lately.

Here I am now, Sara and Noor by my side, and it feels like everything is coming together.

Long paths which have been walked are now converging in this very important moment, not only in our lives, but the lives of this precious Ummah.

In an age where forces attempt to divide us, we choose to believe in Al Jami, Al Haque, Who unites us and brings us together.

On the heels of the completion of this beautiful Ramadan, a Ramadan which started in the cold of winter and ended in the warmth of spring. Seeing the signs Allah SWT beautifully decorated around us, each drop of rain filled with baraqa.

We return now with hope beaming in our hearts to, iA, illuminate a dreary and dark landscape that surrounds us.

In starting One Good Deed, we call out to you Ya Allah with all Your beautiful names.

We reach out to our Muslim and Non-Muslim brothers and sisters alike.

We reach out to the United States and its people, our home where we were born and raised. We stand in solidarity with all the vulnerable populations here and abroad who have been neglected by our leaders.

The schools which go unfunded, the prisons which go forgotten, the homeless left out in the cold, and the pockets of communities around us who declare the Oneness of God.

May Allah SWT accept from us! May He shower us with his forgiveness, guideance, protection, blessings, mercy, and full shifa, ameen!
